Our gearboxes have to be able to withstand the harshest conditions, day in day out - whether in industrial plants, in the hull of a ship or in strip mining under extreme climatic conditions.

With the help of our Design department, we find solutions for the diverse challenges facing our customers every day. Our gearboxes go through a particularly thorough manufacturing and testing process so that they meet the highest standards.

Unable to find the right gearbox for your situation? No problem - we can develop them together with you, so that they are tailored exactly to your needs. We will keep in regular contact with you during the development and design phase so that the finished gearbox meets your needs entirely.

It goes without saying that we adapt our gearboxes to the place of installation, taking into account all the necessary factors, for example climatic conditions, available space and crane capacity, accessibility for maintenance, transmission of measuring signals, etc.

All of the heat treatment processes relevant to gear manufacturing can be performed in-house at GearTec AG. Our gearbox test benches can carry out no-load and load testing with up to 1.5 MW load and at up to 12,000 rpm. Bearing temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, vibrations and also sound emissions can be measured.

Furthermore, we have all the necessary measuring and test equipment as well as 3D measuring machines (up to 6000 x 3000 x 2000 mm) to allow us to meet all the relevant international quality standards. On request 3.2 acceptance tests can also be undertaken by independent testing institutions such as DNV:GL, ABS, BV, LRS, RMRS.

In addition to new development and design, we also offer our customers a re-engineering service, whereby we survey and re-engineer worn or used gear components so that the re-designed, newly manufactured parts will work together with reused parts. For example, we have successfully adapted and manufactured entire gear sets and even partly gear sets, and combined them with pre-used gear parts for various customers.

Re-engineering requires a high level of expertise, as factors such as wear, how to combine materials from old and new parts as well as their long-term behavior when they are combined must be taken into account. Thanks to the many years of experience of our design engineers in this field, we have been able to develop a suitable, lasting solution for each of our customers!
